Louisiana Casinos

Legalized casino gambling returned to Louisiana in November of 1993 with the opening of Showboat Star Casino in New Orleans so what are you waiting for? New Orleans and the other Louisiana cities will eventually become some of the hottest spots between Atlantic City and Las Vegas! As of April 1, 2001 the riverboat casinos are no longer required to make the regularly scheduled 90 minute cruise every 3 hours!
The list below only include (the now dockside) riverboat casinos, Harrah's New Orleans land based casino, slot machine racetrack casinos (a.k.a. racinos) and casinos on Indian Reservations in the State of Louisiana. The list does not include the bars, nightclubs, restaurants, donut shops, truck stops, off track racing parlors (OTBs), etc. in about half of Louisiana's 64 Parishes (Counties) that offer video poker gambling. There are just WAY too many to list!
